Environmental disposal of car wrecks01/10/2020 02:00:00|Registry of motor vehicles Proof of environmental disposal of the vehicle (certificate of receipt of the car wreck at the wreck collection site) The certificate of acceptance of the wreck into the wreck collection facility is part of the necessary documentation for the permanent deletion of the vehicle from the Vehicle Registry. The person authorised to act is generally a natural or legal person registered in the Vehicle Registry as the owner or operator of the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle may also authorise another person in writing. Everybody who is disposing of car wrecks is obliged to hand over the car wreck only to such persons who are operators of facilities for the collection, purchase, processing, use or disposal of car wrecks. This obligation applies not only to vehicle owners but also to municipalities to which this obligation is transferred if the vehicle owner cannot be identified. The operator of a facility for the collection or purchase of car wrecks will: check that the wreck does not contain any other waste that is not part of the vehicle provide, free of charge, the written confirmation of the wreck acceptance to the person handing over the wreck List of collection sites: What do you need to bring with you? original proof of identity (ID card) original or legally verified copy of the trade licence or extract from the commercial registry for company vehicles technical vehicle certificate if awarded vehicle registration certificate if the technical vehicle certificate has not been issued The municipal authority may impose a fine of up to CZK 20 000 for a natural person who is not an entrepreneur and commits an offence by not disposing of a car wreck in accordance with this Act.
