The Ministry will provide CZK 100 million for the support of alternative fuel infrastructure25/1/2018|Press releasesBy 2021 several hundreds of new standard recharging stations for electric vehicles will be available to drivers in the Czech Republic. Their construction will be supported by the Ministry of Transport from European funds. Up to CZK 100 million for the support of the alternative fuel infrastructure can arrive from the Operational Programme Transport. The Ministry of Transport announces the call on January 25. The deadline for submitting applications will be June 15, 2018. Applicants doing business in these sectors can apply for the subsidy: electrical installations, power distribution, electricity trading, and/or those with experience operating at least 10 publicly accessible recharging stations and those who submit a project involving the construction of recharging stations on the Czech territory. The scope of the project depends on applicant's considerations. In this call, the maximum rate of support of eligible expenditure may be up to 70%. "The subsidy applications will be evaluated particularly in terms of economic efficiency, readiness and project relevance. Given the allocated funding, we can assume that all projects that will meet the conditions of the call will be supported", says the transport minister Dan Ťok. Another calls focused on the construction of the so-called supplementary network of recharging stations will be announced during the next two years. By the end of 2023 at least 800 recharging stations should have been built, so that the national objective, stipulated by the National Clean Mobility Action Plan, passed by the government in November 2015, will be met. Besides recharging stations for electric vehicles, the Ministry of Transport wants to support the construction of CNG, LNG and hydrogen filling stations. The calls will be announced during the spring of 2018. In total, the Ministry of Transport allocated CZK 1.2 billion for this subsidy programme within the Operational Programme Transportation.
