The Ministry will provide another CZK 100 million for the support of alternative fuel infrastructure

The Ministry of Transport announces the call on April 27. The deadline for submitting applications will be September 17, 2018. Applicants from these industries can apply for the subsidy: distribution of gaseous fuels through networks, gas trading or fuel retail in specialised outlets and applicants who submit a project for the construction of CNG filling stations on the territory of the Czech Republic. The scope of the project depends on applicant's considerations. In this call, the maximum rate of support of eligible expenditure may be up to 60%. The subsidy applications will be evaluated particularly in terms of economic efficiency, readiness and project relevance.

"We would like to support the construction of at least five LNG filling stations, so that at least long-distance trucks can pass through the Czech Republic. These publicly accessible filling stations will be also used for domestic freight and/or buses", says the transport minister Dan Ťok.

The National Clean Mobility Action Plan, approved by the government in November 2015, envisages 5 LNG filling stations in 2025. The objective should be achieved earlier thanks to the contribution from the operational programme.

Besides the natural gas filling stations (CNG and LNG), the Ministry of Transport also wants to support the construction of hydrogen filling stations. The call for this domain will be announced still during the spring of 2018. In total, the Ministry of Transport allocated CZK 1.2 billion for this subsidy programme within the Operational Programme Transportation for the support of alternative fuels infrastructure.

More detailed information on the terms of the support can be found in the detailed documentation of the call published on the website of the control body for the Operational Programme Transportation: http://web.opd.cz/vyzva-38

This call for the support of the development of the LNG filling stations infrastructure follows some already open calls focused on the support of a backbone network of fast recharging stations and an additional networks of conventional recharging stations for electric cars and CNG filling stations.
