The official state online shop edalnice.cz warns against fraudulent SMS trying to extort money for alleged fines for driving without a valid sticker. This is just another way fraudsters are trying to get rich on the Electronic Motorway Sticker System.

Operators of the Electronic Motorway Sticker Customer Line have seen an increase in the number of calls from people who have received such a message in recent days. "We strongly recommend that you do not respond to these messages and do not click on the links they contain. This is a fraudulent attempt to misuse your data or funds," warns Radka Nastoupilová, spokesperson for CENDIS, the system administrator. The imposition of a fine always requires a physical inspection by the Police of the Czech Republic or the Customs Administration. If no such check has been made, no retroactive fine or other sanction is possible. "Be cautious and in case of suspicious messages contact the Electronic Motorway Sticker Customer Line directly at +420 222 266 757," he adds.

Similarly, websites pretending to be official online shops are also illegally “feeding on” the edalnice.cz system. These portals often charge unnecessary handling fees and can lead to financial losses for customers and problems with subsequent e-sticker management. The Ministry of Transport maintains an up-to-date list of these on its website Don't pay more than you have to. Therefore, always purchase your stickers through the official e-shop edalnice.cz, where you can be sure that you only pay the real price without unnecessary fees.
