Kremlík: I respect the Prime Minister's decision20/1/2020|Press releasesI respect the Prime Minister's decision. My priority was to launch an electronic vignette system so that there was no delay and people could use it from next year. I believed that the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure (SFDI) had such a contract entirely under control, and the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure repeatedly assured me of it. That is why I opposed the Prime Minister on the premature cancellation of the entire order. I appreciate that the Prime Minister mentioned my move on the goal. At the Ministry of Transport, I started or completed a lot of things: we successfully and smoothly launched a new toll system, doubted and criticized by the media a thousand times by the way, we submitted an amendment to the Linear Act which is supposed to shorten the preparation of buildings by three to four years, modernization of the D1 motorway is progressing in line with the plan and will end in 2021, we accelerated the preparation of high-speed rail lines for this year we managed to negotiate a budget of 93 billion crowns, which will ensure that the record construction of motorways, category I roads and railways will continue on motorways, we finally managed to place the STOP-PROTISMĚR (WRONG WAY) sign on 66 most risky exits. I would like to thank all my colleagues who helped me in my uneasy role of the Minister of Transport in the past months. I wish my successor good luck with finalizing a number of tasks.
