Access for legal entities, a new notification centre and other new digital services

The Ministry of Transport is expanding services on the Transport Portal, which has been providing citizens with one-stop access to digital transport services for two years. Over the past two years, more than 1.5 million users have logged on to the Transport Portal. They for example displayed the Driver Registry 700,000 times and submitting more than 210,000 applications for a driving licence.

New features and enhancements bring users even more convenience and efficiency when dealing with transport-related matters. "Our goal is to continuously expand the functionality of the Transport Portal, so that we can gradually eliminate office visits. Easier and faster handling of transport-related matters and obtaining information from the transport registries will now be made available not only to citizens but also to companies, which have so far remained somewhat on the sidelines in this respect across the state administration," says transport minister Martin Kupka.

For example, legal representatives of legal entities can obtain clear information on all company vehicles, both current and past. Now, when selling a car, the company representative does not have to go to the office. They will be able to do everything through the Transport Portal, where they will be able to digitally submit an application for a change of vehicle owner and operator, just as the Portal now allows for individuals.

The Portal will offer similar services as in the case of vehicles to companies and citizens in the management of navigation or aviation licences. Users can apply for a navigator's licence, view vessel and navigator details, and apply for examinations. In the aviation sector, users can register drone operators and pilots, consult the aviation register and book test dates.

The new notification centre of the Transport Portal will now allow legal entities and individuals to set up notifications for upcoming technical inspections. Notifications will be sent via SMS and e-mail, ensuring that users will always be up-to-date on their obligations and changes to their records without the need for a registered mail box. Information on the validity of compulsory liability insurance for individual vehicles can now also be found in one place and motorway stickers will be added by the end of the year.

Greater flexibility for businesses in managing their fleet will be ensured by linking the Transport Portal with the Register of Representations, which will soon enable the setting and management of powers of attorney so that, for example, a company's statutory representative can grant a power of attorney to an employee (or anyone else) to deal with matters relating to the fleet or an individual vehicle. In the future, we are also preparing the delivery of driving licences or the electronic payment of administrative fees.

What is new in the Transport Portal:
  • Making the portal and information available to legal entities
    • until now, companies had no information from the registers and had to find out everything by visiting the local office – for example, to request and pay for a statement about their vehicles
  • possibility to actively submit applications for documents for statutory representatives of legal entities
    • sale of the vehicle on the portal and notification of the status of an application
  • information about the validity of the technical inspection and the possibility of setting up a notification before its expiry for legal and natural persons
  • We now add to each vehicle:
    • information about the compulsory liability insurance
    • information on the number of previous owners and operators
    • information on the motorway sticker purchased by the end of the year
