After about a half-year of being in operation, OneTicket has entered into its next phase. As of June, passengers can reserve a seat and at the beginning of July, first operators of commercial trains join the system. OneTicket now covers more than 99% of all train connections in the Czech Republic.
The construction of the alternative connection between Bohemia and Moravia is progressing. Currently, 27.3 kilometres of D35 are being constructed. In 2022, the construction of another 28.2 kilometres will begin. The first parts will be opened in July; the new motorway stretch will follow by the end of the year.
Only 5 months remain until the D11 motorway from Hradec Králové through Smiřice to Jaroměř will be completed. This December, the currently 90.8 kilometres long motorway will have another 22.4 kilometres. This year will also begin the construction of a 6.6 kilometres long Jaroměř Bypass on road no. I/33.
Mr Václav Kobera, the Director of ITS and Space Activities Department at the Ministry of Transport was elected today to chair the Administrative Board of the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), which is based in Prague.
Mr Evžen Vydra, the director of Waterborne Transport Department at the Ministry of Transport, Mr Lubomír Fojtů, the director of the Waterways Directorate, Mr Jan Schiller, the representative of Ústecký region, and Mr Jiří Anděl, the mayor of Děčín, launched today a construction of a new marina for recreational boats in Děčín. A few kilometres further, a modernised harbour in Hřensko was opened. It will ensure that boats will be protected even during severe floods. A construction of other four marinas for small recreational vessels will begin later this year in Ústecký region.
The French consortium Via Salis (formerly DIVia), backed by VINCI Concessions, VINCI Highways and Meridiam, has commenced the construction of 32 kilometres of the D4 motorway from Příbram to Písek and the renovation of the existing 16 kilometres of adjacent sections. According to the contract, the construction will be completed in December 2024 and the consortium will operate the motorway for the next 25 years.
