The decree amendment of the Ministry of Transport to be effective in October reduces the amount of compulsory vehicle equipment. Drivers no longer need to have replacement light bulbs or fuses in the vehicle any more. Scissors, a plastic mask, a triangular scarf and patches with a pad do not necessarily have to be inside the first aid kit any more.
The RIA prepared and submitted to the Central Commission of the Ministry of Transport for approval a proposal to replace the existing level crossing in Studénka with a multi-level crossing. They also prepared the Zoning Permit Design and submitted it to the building authority for a statement. The pre-condition for the approval of the proposal is the positive statement of the Studénka town representatives on a change of the urban development plan which would allow this construction.
The Czechs and Germans follow a common objective: the construction of the high-speed rail line from Prague to Dresden. They are starting work on an international presidential agreement on this cross-border railway connection. The Czech minister of transport Dan Ťok had this confirmed from his German counterpart Andreas Scheuer at their meeting in Berlin.
The relocation of the Brno Railway Junction towards the river is entering a new phase: the Ministry of Transportation notified the government about the chosen variant and next steps. The The Railway Infrastructure Authority (RIA) will now start preparing this investment which shall cost up to CZK 43 billion.
Drivers can start using road I/62 Děčín - Vilsnice in its new position on Monday, July 9. The relocated road is the last section in the complete rebuilding of roads I/13 and I/62 passing through Děčín, taking transit traffic away from the existing, unsatisfactory Ústecká street that passes through the city.
Thanks to some new legal amendments, life will be easier for drivers starting in July. Driving licences, driver's professional competence certificates and memory cards for the digital tachograph can now be obtained in any municipal department with extended powers. The applicant no longer has to submit a paper photograph when filing the application for a new licence or licence replacement. Also, the driving licence does not have to be changed if the place of residence changes. The legal fees for the driving licence changed as well. The replacement of an expired licence will still be free of charge.
