Members of the Central Commission of the Ministry of Transport today chose an option of the reconstruction of the whole Brno railway node. On the basis of feasibility studies, experts' opinions, opinions of representatives of the cities concerned, Railway Infrastructure Administration and taking into account the last meeting of the Control Commission to the Brno railway node and negotiations with the representatives of the railway carriers, the selected option is to move the Brno railway node close to the river. SŽDC is still preparing a technical and economic check of freight traffic for the selected variant.
The Ministry of Transport will also support building up of filling stations for hydrogen as part of the already running program for the support of alternative fuel infrastructure. For this purpose, 150 million crowns are detached from the European funds under the Operational Program Transport (OPD).
The use of flash drives for extensive documentation of the current toll system is legal, the antitrust authority has not addressed the nature of changes to the anonymized version of data carriers, while the Ministry had sufficiently explained to the bidders the expected range of toll charge for motorways and 1st class roads to bid. These are the basic arguments of the 70-page analyse, which the ministry submitted to the chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition to reassess the first-instance decision to non-legitimately cancel the toll tender.

The future railway tunnel for the high-speed railway through the Krušné hory mountains will be designed by Deutsche Bahn, operated in accordance with German regulations. This was agreed in Prague by Czech Minister of Transport Dan Ťok with his Saxon colleague Martin Dulige.
The ministry announced the competition for the construction of the missing 32 kilometres of the D4 motorway between Příbram and Písek through cooperation between the private and the public sector, the so-called PPP project. A private company will then have to operate and maintain the new motorway for 25 years. The construction of the D4 extension will not start sooner than in two years.
