The Ministry will provide CZK 130 million for the support of alternative fuel infrastructure13/11/2017|Press releasesBy 2021 more than 125 fast-recharging stations for electric vehicles will be available to drivers in the Czech Republic. Their construction will be supported by the Ministry of Transport from European funds. Up to CZK 130 million for the support of the alternative fuel infrastructure can arrive from the Operational Programme Transport. The Ministry of Transport announced the call on November 13. The deadline for submitting applications will be May 4, 2018. Applicants who already operate at least 10 recharging stations, accessible to the public, on territory of the EU member states and who submit the comprehensive project for the construction of 125 fast recharging stations, spread evenly throughout the Czech Republic, can apply for the subsidy. In this call, the maximum rate of support of eligible expenditure may be up to 70%. "We will select one project from the submitted applications that best fulfils the required criteria. Emphasis will be placed on project economy and readiness," says the Minister of Transport Dan Ťok. Another three calls focused on the construction of the so-called backbone network of fast recharging stations will be announced during the next three years. By the end of 2023 there shall be 500 fast recharging stations in total. This way, the goal set in the National Action Plan for Clean Mobility, approved by the government in November 2015, will be achieved. Besides fast recharging stations for electric vehicles, the Ministry of Transport also wants to support the construction of standard recharging stations. The respective call shall be announced at the beginning of next year. During the spring it plans to announce calls for the support of construction of filling stations for CNG, LNG and hydrogen. In total, the Ministry of Transport allocated CZK 1.2 billion for this subsidy programme within the Operational Programme Transportation.
