In only a few minutes two electric cars will charge here emission-free energy for other hundreds of kilometres of driving. The new ABB Terra 360 station, launched today by ČEZ Group in the parking of the Olympia shopping mall in Mladá Boleslav in the presence of the minister of transport Martin Kupka and other guests, is the fastest in the Czech Republic to meet this demand of drivers. The charging hub, consisting of a total of seven stations, can serve up to 14 electric cars at a time. The new stands were built thanks to a grant from the Operational Programme Transport.
In the first six months of 2021, 112,000 of new vehicles were registered. A share of 4.3% (3,454) belongs to electric and gas-fuelled cars. Registrations increased by 65% on a year-on-year basis compared to the same period in 2020.
By 2021 more than 125 fast-recharging stations for electric vehicles will be available to drivers in the Czech Republic. Their construction will be supported by the Ministry of Transport from European funds. Up to CZK 130 million for the support of the alternative fuel infrastructure can arrive from the Operational Programme Transport.
