If there were no casualties, injuries or material damage to vehicles does not exceed CZK 100,000, the parties involved in a traffic accident are obliged to report it to the police only in the following cases: If the accident caused material damage to third person property; If the road (or its parts) is damaged or destroyed; If the parties involved are not able to ensure renewal of smooth traffic by themselves. Obligations of a driver involved in a traffic accident Immediately stop the vehicle. Refrain from use of alcohol or drugs. Take precautions to avoid other damages to persons or things. Cooperate during collection of facts. Obligations of parties involved in a traffic accident Take precautions to avoid compromising safe traffic and if necessary stop other vehicles. Provide first aid, call emergency and report the accident to the police. Mark the place of traffic accident. Facilitate renewal of traffic (especially for public transport). Notify the police about damages to roads, publicly used device or the environment. When asked to provide an identification document and information about vehicles. Write joint statement about the traffic accident (if it is not necessary to call the police), which has to be signed by all parties involved and immediately delivered to an insurer. Traffic Accident Statement Although it is not obligatory, drivers should always have the traffic accident statement form in their vehicle. Template of official European accident statement is available below: No act defines the exact form of the statement; however, it must include the following information: Identification of where and when the accident happened; Identification of parties involved in the traffic accident and of their vehicles; What caused the traffic accident; Course of the accident and its consequences Drivers have to have at their disposal: Driving licence; Vehicle registration certificate; Confirmation of liability insurance for damage caused by operation of a vehicle; Confirmation of medical fitness (drivers over 65 years); Professional competence certificate for a specific group of vehicles (professional drivers). (If the technical inspection of a vehicle is performed in other Member State, the driver also has to have a certificate from the last roadworthiness check. If the vehicle is registered in other Member State, the driver has to have a certificate from the last regular roadworthiness check.)
