These will be the main topics of the Czech Presidency of the Visegrad Group, which starts on 1 July. Deputy Transport Minister Václav Bernard presented them to his colleagues from Slovakia, Hungary and Poland at a meeting of V4 Transport Ministers in the High Tatra mountains. "Slovakia, Poland and Hungary are among our closest transport partners in Europe. The V4 format allows us to coordinate our national transport projects more deeply, so that the whole Central European region benefits. There is a big project ahead for all these countries in the coming years: building high-speed rail lines, on which we want to cooperate as much as possible to ensure seamless continuity across all countries," said Deputy Transport Minister Václav Bernard. Regarding high-speed lines, the member states want to focus on coordinating the preparation, construction and securing of sufficient funding. Regarding space activities and intelligent transport systems, the main focus is on sharing experiences and other opportunities for cooperation between professional and academic teams. In view of the current dynamic developments in clean mobility, this will also be one of the transport topics of our Presidency, including the impact on the proposed new EURO 7 emission standard. All V4 countries are actively opposing the current draft standard and belong to those that has been formed at European level in recent months under the leadership of the Czech Republic.
