Mr Kobera plans to help the newly established agency with works related to the EU Space Programme and enhance cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Directorate-General for the Defence Industry and Space (DEFIS).

EUSPA officially launched on 12 May 2021, when the regulation establishing the EU space programme was published in the Official Journal. Currently, EUSPA is based in Prague-Holešovice, in the same building as the former GSA. In the upcoming 2 years, it will move to new offices to accommodate an increased number of employees.
