Results of the 2nd public competition of the Transport 2030 programme were announced – a record numb28/11/2024|Press releasesThe Technology Agency of the Czech Republic has announced the results of the second public competition of the Ministry of Transport's programme to support applied research and innovation in the field of transport – TRANSPORT 2030. The projects supported focus on different modes and aspects of transport, from road safety to rail transport, drones, autonomous mobility and low-emission transport. A total of 151 project proposals were submitted, of which 143 went forward for evaluation. A total of 45 project proposals were supported for funding in this call for proposals with a total support of over EUR 500 million. The competition confirmed the great interest of Czech universities, research organisations, companies and other entities in the Transport 2030 programme, which was approved by the government in 2022. The programme builds on the previous successful DOPRAVA 2020+ programme, which supported more than 150 applied research projects in all areas of transport through four public competitions. The Ministry of Transport initiated the creation of the Transport 2030 programme and defines its agenda. Its main objective is to support projects that contribute to sustainable, accessible and safe transport, as well as to the development of automation, digitalisation and technologically advanced transport. It also seeks to promote low-emission and environmentally friendly transport. The Ministry of Transport created the programme to deliver practical outcomes that will make a measurable contribution to improving transport accessibility, sustainability and safety.
