A new form of cooperation is emerging between the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and the British Department for Transport. It will help strengthen mutual coordination and sharing of experience.

We are launching a British-Czech dialogue on transport

We officially launched the UK–Czech Transport Dialogue in London, a new format for cooperation between the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and the UK Department for Transport. The document confirms the establishment of a dialogue and was signed by representatives of both institutions.

The aim is to strengthen coordination and the sharing of experience in key areas that will influence the future of transport in both countries.

Main areas of cooperation

  • Smart mobility and autonomous vehicles
  • Transition to clean mobility and decarbonisation of transport
  • Development of rail infrastructure, including high-speed lines
  • Sharing of best practices in transport infrastructure financing
  • Cooperation in research and innovation

The establishment of the dialogue was confirmed by the signatures of Zdeněk Čechura, Director of the Foreign Relations and EU Department, and his counterpart, Simon Argyle, Director of Foreign Relations at the British Department for Transport.
