The Czech railway will be more competitive – the Ministry signed a memorandum with Shift2Rail

The transport minister Dan Ťok and Shift2Rail CEO Carlo Borghini signed a memorandum of understanding. The Czech Republic committed as the first European country to cooperation with this initiative. RIA continues with preparations for the relocation of the Brno Railway Junction

The train trip from Prague to Tábor will not take only one hour

The Railway Administration Authority (RIA) officially kickstarted the modernisation of the railway route from Sudoměřice by Tábor to Votice today. The aim of one of the most important current railway infrastructure investments is to raise the speed, capacity, convenience and safety on this 20km long section of the 4th transit corridor.

Reconstruction of the famous Negrelli Viaduct began in Prague

On Thursday, June 8, the reconstruction of the 160-year-old Negrelli Viaduct in Prague started. This festive step also commenced the first construction phase of the key connection between the Masarykovo nádraží Railways Station and the Václav Havel Airport. Operation via the viaduct will be quieter thanks to the use of modern technologies and trains be able to go at higher track speeds. The commencement of this important reconstruction, which will take almost three years, was also attended by Deputy Minister of Transport Milan Feranec.
