The official state online shop edalnice.cz warns against fraudulent SMS trying to extort money for alleged fines for driving without a valid sticker. This is just another way fraudsters are trying to get rich on the Electronic Motorway Sticker System.
These days, an increasing number of people are buying vignettes for this year. Many of them are contacting the Ministry of Transport and the Czech Trade Inspection Authority with questions and complaints about the sale of overpriced vignettes.
The state enterprise CENDIS and the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure (SFDI) remind drivers to check the validity of their electronic vignettes and buy a new one on time. Those who have set up a notification of the ticket's expiry will receive the notification in their e-mail or, if they have entered their phone number, via SMS.
OneTicket, the universal train ticket system, will now receive a new type of travel document. Since 11 December, people can buy a one-day network ticket for travelling around the Czech Republic.
OneTicket receives more features in the pilot operation. Passengers can now buy an electronic ticket through the e-shop or mobile app. This shall test the functionalities for all railway lines before routine operation starts in December 2020.
