Drivers will see new traffic signs on our motorways and roads next year. The Legislative Council of the Government approved an amendment to Decree No. 294/2015 Coll. The changed contained therein are based on changes within the framework of the approved major Road Traffic Act amendment and at the same time incorporate experience from practice in response to current trends in road traffic. The use and placement of new signs can be decided by the competent administrative authorities from 1 January 2024.
RSD started major works on rebuilding the Rádelský mlýn overhead crossing on road I/35 on Tuesday, 14 April. Work has been in progress on the site since the beginning of March, during which the Jeřmanický stream was put into pipes. The existing overhead crossing, which has been in operation since 1973, no longer suits the traffic intensity and is the site of frequent traffic accidents.
Today, the government approved a series of measures to support the transport sector, which is also affected by measures introduced in connection with the spread of COVID-19 in Europe. The payments of toll and road tax will be postponed for truck transportation companies. Investment in traffic infrastructure will be strengthened and commuters travelling between the Czech Republic and Slovakia or Poland should also be helped.
