Images of over 500 000 vehicles were taken during emission measuring, the ministry prepared a map

Since January, the Emission Measurement Stations are obliged to document the presence of vehicles in inspections. The same applies to Technical Inspection Stations. During the first quarter, over three million photographs were taken during 563 669 inspections. To increase convenience for drivers when searching the closest station, the ministry published an easy-to-read map of all Emission Measurement Stations, Technical Inspection Stations and Municipal Departments with Extended Powers on its website.

The construction of the D6 and D35 motorways can start this year still, the government received information about construction preparation

The continuation of the Karlovy Vary D6 motorway and the D35 motorway, connecting Hradec Králové and Olomouc, have the biggest chance regarding the possible start of construction work until the end of this year. Other construction projects such as the completion of the D1 motorway near Přerov, the continuation of the South Bohemian D3, the Hradec Králové D11 motorway or the connection of D56 to D48 and the Frýdek-Místek bypass are likely to start at the beginning and during the next year. This is the result of the current building preparation analyses which the government studied.

The bypass of Otrokovice and the motorway from Cheb to Karlovy Vary will be free of motorway charges

The Ministry of Transport has decided to listen to the needs of five regions: starting from next year, they will have selected motorway sections exempt from the motorway charges (sticker). From 2018 about 40 more kilometres of motorway in five section will be free of charges as well.

Emission Measurement Stations will start taking image documentation starting from January

Emission Measurement Stations will start taking photos of vehicles from January on. The images will be stored, together with the measurement results, in an online information system of the Ministry of Transport. So the system, which the stations were testing during November and December, will now be launched. A similar process has applied already since 2016 for providing evidence of the presence of a vehicle in Technical Inspection Stations.

The Ministry will still allow emission measuring stations to work without photodocumentation

The Ministry of Transport will allow emission measuring stations that were unable to acquire the necessary software issue inspection reports in the current mode by the end of the year. Starting on 1 December, the emission measuring stations were obliged to send photodocumentation from the inspection to the Central Information System and post the measurement results online. The information was published by the ministry in an extraordinary bulletin.

Emission measurement stations are starting to make photos of vehicles, so far only in the test mode

Today the trial operation starts in the emission measuring stations, during which mechanics were taking photos of the vehicles. The images will be stored together with the measurement results in the Information System of the Technical Inspection Station that communicates on-line with the Ministry of Transport. The same system has been used since last year in Technical Inspection Stations. The full operation starts on December 1.
